In the part of the Donetsk oblast, which is under the current control of Ukrainian authorities, 41,125 children remain. Some of them live in close proximity to the front line, as reported by Ukrinform, citing deputy head of the Donetsk Oblast Military Administration, Ihor Boyko.

"There are 41,125 children remaining in the Donetsk oblast, and this number is constantly changing... Not all of these children are in the active combat zone; the vast majority are in areas with potential conflict. However, there are children who are currently in close proximity to the front line", - said Boyko.

Therefore, he emphasized that additional evacuation efforts are underway in the region, forcibly evacuating children from these settlements.

"I hope that parents who have underage children under their care will conscientiously prioritize the safety of their children and do everything possible and impossible to ensure the children are transported to safe areas", - stressed the official.

He reminded that since April 2023, forced evacuation of children from the region, together with their parents or legal representatives and guardians was announced. This applied to those settlements where there was intense fighting and active combat.

"For nearly a year now, we have evacuated 249 children from 52 such settlements, and this evacuation is ongoing", - noted Boyko.

He highlighted that, for instance, the evacuation is currently ongoing in the city of Toretsk.

At the time of announcing forced evacuation, Boyko explained that there was a certain number of registered children in the Toretsk community, but during the evacuation, additional children were found about whom there was no prior information, and they remained in the territory of this community.

"Therefore, the evacuation (in the Toretsk community) continues, and as of today, there are still 15 children in dangerous areas", - he added.

It is noted that since the full-scale invasion of russia, more than 164,000 children have been evacuated from the Donetsk oblast.

As reported, all children from the Marinka and Ocheretyne communities in the Donetsk oblast, which are under constant shelling by the Russian army, have been evacuated to safe regions.
