Occupying authorities in the "LNR" are working on a "normative-legal base" to make it easier to access the apartments and houses of Ukrainians who have left the occupied territory. This was reported by Tatiana Buryak, the "First Deputy Minister of Construction and Housing and Communal Services of the LNR", during a meeting of the "Committee of the People's Council of the LNR on Construction, Housing and Communal Services, Energy, Transport, and Communications" on March 7th, according to occupation media.

"A normative legal base is being developed in the LNR that will allow resolving the issue of access to residential premises whose owners are absent in the event of emergencies", - the statement said.

It is specified that earlier in the quasi-republic, a resolution of the "LNR government" "On access to housing (residential premises, housing) and other property of persons whose owners are absent" was in effect. It ceased to be valid on December 31, 2023, due to the "integration of the republic into the legislative field of the Russian Federation".

It was previously reported that abandoned housing in Sievierodonetsk is being occupied by "participants of the special military operation" with their families.
