Members of the British government privately urged the German government to provide Ukraine with Taurus missiles. This information, citing its own sources within the UK government, was reported by the American news agency Bloomberg on March 1.

"The British government privately called on Germany to supply long-range Taurus missiles to the government in Kyiv, as London expressed irritation over comments by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz regarding British activity in Ukraine", - the statement said.

Referring to individuals familiar with the matter, Bloomberg writes that "high-ranking British ministers and officials have repeatedly indicated to Germany that Ukraine urgently needs Taurus missiles".

It is noted that the United Kingdom has proposed solutions to the problem, including an exchange agreement, under which the UK would provide more of its own Storm Shadow missiles to Kyiv, and Germany would then replenish the UK's stocks with long-range spare missiles.

Earlier reports indicated that the UK was not assisting the Armed Forces of Ukraine in targeting Storm Shadow missiles, a claim made by Scholz.
