The enemy attempted to break through the defense of Ukrainian defenders 30 times in the past 24 hours on the Novopavlivske direction in the Donetsk oblast. This was reported in the summary of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 6:00 a.m. on March 1.
"On the Novopavlivske direction, the defense forces continue to restrain the enemy in the areas of the settlements of Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Pobeda, Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk oblast, where the enemy attempted to break through our troops' defense 30 times", - the statement said.
In total, there were 83 military clashes in the past 24 hours.
On the Avdiivka direction, our defenders repelled 25 enemy attacks in the areas of the settlements of Berdychi, Orlivka, Tonenke, Persomaiske, Nevelske in the Donetsk oblast.
On the Kupiansk direction, the defense forces repelled 2 enemy attacks in the areas of the settlements of Petropavlivka, Tabaivka in the Kharkiv oblast.
On the Lyman direction, our warriors repelled 12 enemy attacks in the areas of the settlements of Terny, Yampolivka in the Donetsk oblast, and Belohorivka in the Luhansk oblast.
On the Bakhmut direction, the defense forces repelled 2 enemy attacks in the areas of the settlements of Ivanivske and Klishchiivka in the Donetsk oblast.
On the Orikhiv direction, the defense forces repelled one enemy attack in the area of Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia oblast.
On the Kherson direction, the Defense Forces continue to hold positions and repel the assaults of occupation forces. Despite significant losses, the enemy persists in attempting to dislodge our units from their positions. In the past 24 hours, the adversary carried out 4 unsuccessful assaults on the positions of our troops on the left bank of the Dnipro river.
On the Volyn and Polissia directions, the operational situation remains largely unchanged.
On the Siversk and Slobozhansk directions, the enemy maintains military presence in border areas, conducts sabotage activities to prevent the transfer of our forces to threatening directions, and increases the density of mine-explosive barriers along the state border in the Belgorod oblast.
Additionally, during the past 24 hours, the defense forces' aviation struck 10 areas with concentrations of enemy personnel. Missile troops units delivered strikes to 3 areas with concentrations of personnel, weapons, and military equipment, targeting 3 BM-21 Grad multiple rocket launcher systems, 2 artillery units, 2 command posts, an ammunition depot, and an electronic warfare means of the enemy.
"In total, the enemy conducted 3 missile and 91 aviation strikes, carried out 142 shelling attacks from multiple rocket launcher systems on the positions of our troops and populated areas. As a result of russian terrorist attacks, there are casualties among the civilian population", - the statement also said.
During the night, russian occupiers once again attacked Ukraine, using UAVs of the Shahed-136/131 type. Information about this attack is being clarified.
Earlier, it was reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine conducted airstrikes on 10 locations of enemy concentrations within a day and shot down three fighter jets.
