Russia has announced its readiness to hand over the bodies of those who died in the crash of the Il-76 in the Belgorod oblast to the Ukrainian side. This was reported by the Human Rights Commissioner of the russian federation, Tatyana Moskalkova, as quoted by russian propaganda media on March 1.

"Everything necessary from a procedural point of view is available... The bodies can be handed over according to the existing procedures", - said Moskalkova.

She specified that she is in contact with Kyiv regarding the plane crash, and that the Ukrainian side allegedly inquired about the possibility of transferring the bodies.

Earlier, the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Oleksiy Danilov, categorically stated that there were no Ukrainian prisoners of war on the downed russian Il-76.
