Dmytro Lubinets, the Human Rights Ombudsman, will send official letters to the UN and ICRC regarding yet another execution of Ukrainian prisoners by the russian occupiers. He announced this in his Telegram channel.
He commented on a video showing Ukrainian military personnel, who were about to surrender (with their hands raised to show they were unarmed and posed no threat), callously being shot by russian occupiers. According to him, this is another war crime.
"The russians were supposed to capture them, but instead, they callously executed them", - he wrote.
"This incident needs to be documented as another violation of international humanitarian law by russia. In this regard, I will immediately send official letters to the UN and ICRC to have the organizations record and publicly acknowledge that russian military personnel are killing Ukrainian prisoners", - Lubinets summarized.
