Occupiers launched 1716 shells on the Kherson oblast in the past day, resulting in casualties. The head of the Kherson Oblast Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, reported this on February 23 via Telegram.

"Over the past day, the enemy carried out 287 shelling incidents, firing 1716 shells using artillery, multiple rocket launchers, mortars, tanks, and drones. One person was killed, and 2 others were wounded", - the statement reads.

Prokudin noted that 27 shells were directed at Kherson. Russian forces hit residential neighborhoods in the region's settlements, a cell tower in Berislavsky district, archival facilities, and port infrastructure in the city.

As previously reported, on February 22, occupiers conducted three missile and 83 air strikes, as well as 152 attacks from multiple rocket launchers.
