Due to severe weather conditions in the Odesa oblast, five people have lost their lives, according to President Volodymyr Zelensky in his evening video address on November 27.

"Unfortunately, as of now, there are casualties. Most of them are in the Odesa oblast—five people", -noted Zelensky. He also mentioned that at least 19 people were affected by the adverse weather.

According to Zelensky, nearly 1,500 settlements in 17 regions have experienced power outages. Power restoration efforts are underway everywhere, with energy workers diligently working on the task.

"As soon as possible, every city, every village will receive electricity. Currently, hundreds of people and units of equipment from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine are working round the clock. The National Police, National Guard, and communal services are providing assistance", - emphasized Zelensky.

The President expressed gratitude to volunteers supporting people in communities and specifically commended the entire team of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, the National Guard, and the National Police, including emergency responders from the Odesa oblast.

In his video address, Zelensky also reported on an important conversation with the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia.

"We discussed the situation in the Middle East, current events, and prospects. We also talked about the development of our bilateral relations and cooperation for the full implementation of the Peace Formula. Saudi Arabia is providing significant assistance in this direction, and I am grateful for that", - said the President.

As previously reported, Zelensky discussed EU accession negotiations with the President of the European Commission.
