Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba pointed out that from 2014 to 2022, Ukraine engaged in around 200 negotiations with the aggressor country, yet this did not deter russia from its pursuit to seize all of Ukraine. He made these remarks on X social network on November 9.
"From 2014 to 2022, Ukraine held approximately 200 rounds of negotiations with russia. During this period, 20 ceasefire agreements were reached, and all of them were swiftly violated by russia. None of the 200 rounds of negotiations or the 20 ceasefire agreements prevented putin from initiating the brutal full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022", - Kuleba emphasized.
The Foreign Minister also emphasized that those advocating for negotiations with russia are either "uninformed, misled, or taking russia's side, wishing for putin to pause before further aggression".
"We should not and will not fall into this trap", - Kuleba stressed.
As previously reported, Ukraine is not engaging in any secret negotiations with russia.
