The self-proclaimed "DNR" has acknowledged shortcomings in providing central heating as 75 out of 1,245 boiler houses are currently non-operational. Denis Pushilin, the leader of the "DNR", mentioned this in a social media post on October 27 while discussing a meeting of the russian headquarters for the heating season.

"We still haven't provided central heating everywhere: at the moment, 1,170 boiler houses out of 1,245 are connected", - Pushilin affirmed.

He also lamented that in several cities, planned preparations for facilities have not been completed. These cities include Donetsk (Kuibyshevsky, Kirovsky, Kyivsky, and Petrovsky districts), Makiivka, Horlivka, and Yasynuvata, where there has been more damage due to shelling, and work is still in progress.

He also acknowledged "insufficient readiness" in Mariupol. However, according to him, the people, including those in the "DNR", will intensify their work on utilities and housing maintenance in the coming year.

"At the headquarters, it was specifically noted that next year, all regions of Russia will actively engage in major repairs of multi-apartment buildings, and network modernization. This is a particularly relevant topic for our republic", - Pushilin assured.
