The German defense conglomerate Rheinmetall and "Ukrainian Defense Industry" have formed a joint venture. Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced this on October 24 in his Telegram channel.
"The LLC 'Rheinmetall - Ukrainian Defense Industry' was registered on October 18. I am delighted to announce this during the German-Ukrainian Business Forum in Berlin", - Shmyhal wrote.
The Prime Minister stated that the joint venture would provide maintenance and repair services for the equipment supplied to Ukraine by its partners. Additionally, the joint venture will facilitate the localization of production for leading Rheinmetall AG equipment models.
"The creation of this joint venture is, without a doubt, a landmark event that takes our cooperation to a qualitatively new level, allowing us to build an arsenal for a free world together", - Shmyhal concluded.
