The Ukrainian Ground Forces will strengthen their maneuverable defense on the Kupiansk direction. This decision was made by General-Colonel Oleksandr Syrsky, the Commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, during his visit to the positions on this front segment. This information was reported by Ukrainian Ground Forces Command spokesperson Volodymyr Fityo, during a national Ukrainian TV news marathon on October 23rd.

According to Fityo, = Syrsky visited the positions on the Kupiansk direction on Saturday, October 21st.

"We know that the enemy is attempting to attack our positions on this front, but they are not achieving any success", - the spokesperson noted.

General-Colonel Syrsky, alongside brigade and unit commanders on this direction, discussed the current situation and issued specific instructions to reinforce their maneuverable defense.

"Certain orders were given, and decisions were made to enhance our maneuverable defense", - Fityo added.

The Ukrainian Ground Forces Command spokesperson mentioned that defenders on this front not only maintain their positions but also make efforts to improve their positions and repel the enemy whenever possible.

In the past 24 hours, the Forces of Defense have repelled twenty attacks by russian occupiers on the Lyman-Kupiansk direction, including in the areas of Synkivka, Ivanivka, Serebrianske Forestry, and Spirne. The enemy conducted 13 aerial strikes in these areas, which is ten more than the previous day, as described by Fityo.
