The U.S. Department of Defense emphasizes that Ukraine is to use ATACMS missiles exclusively within its sovereign territory, and Ukraine has provided the necessary guarantees. This statement was made by Pentagon spokesperson General Patrick Ryder during a video briefing on October 20.
"I can't provide details regarding the quantity of ATACMS missiles we have transferred to Ukraine. However, as with all other systems and equipment we have provided, we have received assurances that the weaponry will be used within Ukraine's sovereign territory to reclaim and defend that territory", - said Ryder.
He noted that the U.S. will continue to consult with Ukraine and its allies and partners to ensure that Ukraine is provided with everything it needs to defend against russian aggression.
The U.S. Department of Defense also stated that it can support the defense needs of both Israel and Ukraine.
It was previously reported that Ukraine has already used ATACMS missiles for the first time.
