As a result of the shelling of Kherson on the morning of October 12, the building of Kherson State University suffered damage. This was reported on Facebook by the university's rector, Oleksandr Spivakovsky.

"An hour ago, the aggressor struck the university's assembly hall. What more can I add to this?", - the message reads.

In the photos shared, it can be seen that the shelling resulted in a pierced roof and a collapsed ceiling.

Kherson State University is one of the oldest educational institutions in the south of Ukraine. The university was founded during World War I in November 1917.
