On the morning of October 12, an armed man entered an office building on Vatslav Havel Avenue in the Solomianskyi district of Kyiv and opened fire. The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine reported this in their Telegram channel.
Threatening the security personnel, he forced them to leave the building, fired several random shots, and threatened to set up a "booby trap" at the entrance to prevent law enforcement from entering.
As a result of negotiations, members of the Special Operations Detachment (KORD) apprehended the perpetrator. No one was injured during the incident.
As previously reported, a drunk man who threatened to detonate a grenade at a gas station in the center of Kropyvnytskyi was apprehended with the use of firearms.
