Strike drones have targeted russian aviation plant that manufactures X-59 missiles. This was reported by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense on the morning of October 2nd.

"On October 1, 2023, as a result of the strike on the Smolensk Aviation Plant, the production process of various modifications of the X-59 missile was disrupted. According to confirmed information, three out of four drones hit their target, causing significant damage to the production facilities of the aggressor state's military enterprise", - the statement said.

"The X-59 missile (in the X-59MK2 modification), an air-to-surface missile with a range of up to 280 km, is one of the weapons most frequently used by russian aerospace forces to shell military and civilian targets in Ukraine. The regions most affected by the use of such weapons are the Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhia and Kherson oblasts", - noted the Main Intelligence Directorate.
