Russian peacekeepers have failed in their mission in Nagorno-Karabakh. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this in an interview with Politico, as reported by The moscow Times Telegram channel.

Pashinyan noted that after Azerbaijan blocked the Lachin corridor, the only road connecting the region to Armenia, "the security situation changed dramatically". In particular, the ceasefire was once again violated, and Baku's actions allegedly provoked a humanitarian crisis.

"All of this was supposed to fall under the responsibility of russian peacekeepers, and since these issues exist, it means that russian peacekeepers have failed in their mission", - Pashinyan emphasized.

According to him, Armenia can no longer rely on moscow as a guarantor of its security, even in the face of growing concerns about a return to open conflict with Azerbaijan.

Pashinyan pointed out that russia is now fully focused on the war with Ukraine and is no longer capable of maintaining peace in the Caucasus because its "capabilities have changed".
