The United States will not recognize the sham "elections" conducted by russia in the occupied territories of Ukraine, stated Secretary of State Antony Blinken. He made this announcement on Twitter on September 7th.
"The fake elections held by russia in the occupied territories of Ukraine are illegitimate and violate the UN Charter. The United States will never recognize russia's claims to any sovereign territory of Ukraine. We will stand with Ukraine for as long as it takes", - wrote Blinken.
It was previously reported that U.S. Secretary of State Blinken met with the head of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine and announced assistance to Ukraine's law enforcement sector of $300 million.
