On September 7th, assault units of the National Guard and the Ukrainian Armed Forces pushed deeper into positions occupied by russian forces on the Melitopol direction and eliminated a significant number of enemy combatants. This was reported by the Acting Director of the Planning Department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Mykola Urshalovych, during a briefing at the Military Media Center.
According to him, Ukrainian fighters have successfully eliminated a russian contingent of up to a platoon and advanced both into the depth of russian occupant defenses and along the front line.
"They are consolidating on the occupied positions and preparing for further offensive actions", - said Urshalovych.
As previously reported, on the Zaporizhzhia direction, the Ukrainian Armed Forces secured positions in the vicinity of Novoprokopivka after a successful advance.
