Ukrainian military personnel remain in Bakhmut, and the city has not been captured by russia, according to President Volodymyr Zelensky. He made this statement during a press conference at the G7 summit on May 21.
"No misunderstandings exist. I clearly understand what is happening in Bakhmut. And we all clearly understand why all of this is being done... Today, the military is carrying out very important tasks. They are in Bakhmut, in specific locations which I won't disclose, but this indicates that Bakhmut has not been seized by the russian federation as of today. There can be no two or three interpretations of this", - he stated.
Previously, President Zelensky's team explained his statements regarding control over Bakhmut.
