Russian shelling has destroyed residential buildings in several settlements in the Donetsk oblast overnight, resulting in casualties and injuries. This was reported by the head of the Donetsk Oblast Military Administration, Pavlo Kyrylenko, in his Telegram channel on May 19.
"On the Donetsk direction, the Kurakhivska community was shelled seven times, causing damage to two houses. The russians used Smerch rockets to strike Ukrainian positions, injuring two people and damaging 14 private houses and 13 two-story buildings", - the message said. "Avdiivka was subjected to shelling from Grad rockets, artillery and tanks throughout the day. The enemy fired artillery at Marinka, Heorhiivka and Ocheretynska community".
It is emphasized that one person was killed in Velyka Novosilka in the Volnovakha direction. Vuhledar, Novoukrainka, Prechystovka and Bohoyavlenka were under fire.
During the night, the russians also targeted Pokrovsk with drones, hitting storage facilities.
In Toretsk, on the Horlivka front, two people were injured, and five hospital buildings, an apartment building, and eight shops were damaged. Another building was damaged in Niu-York. In the Chasovoyarska community, four private houses were damaged.
In the Zvanivska community (Lysychansk direction), a house was destroyed in Verkhniokaminske, and a shop was destroyed in Pereizdne. In the Lymanska community, a house was damaged in Zarichne.
Earlier, it was reported that two residents of the Donetsk oblast were killed by the russians in the span of one day.
