The state duma of the russian federation has adopted a bill on electronic draft notices to the military enlistment office for conscripts and on restrictions for evading conscription, TASS reported on April 11.

It is noted that draft notices for conscripts will be sent in writing and duplicated electronically.

"The electronic draft notice will be deemed delivered from the moment it is placed in the citizen's personal account 'on the corresponding information resource, in the information system'. At the same time, if the draft notice is not deemed delivered in written or electronic form, it is deemed delivered seven days after it is posted in the summons registry", - the statement said.

Those who receive a draft notice will have their travel abroad restricted until they appear at the military enlistment office. If the conscript fails to appear at the military enlistment office within 20 days, "temporary measures" may be taken against them. These measures will be revoked within 24 hours of the conscript's arrival at the military commission.

As previously reported, the state duma of russia is preparing to adopt a new law that will change the rules of military registration. A single registry, electronic draft notices and stricter measures against evaders will be introduced.
