The Commercial Court in Kyiv refused to consider the lawsuit filed by the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate challenging the legality of the expiration of the lease agreement for the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra. This is reported in the court's decision.

"The application of the Holy Dormition Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra/Men's Monastery/Ukrainian Orthodox Church to secure the claim in case No. 910/4552/23 shall be rejected. The decision enters into legal force from the moment of its signing and can be appealed in the manner and within the time limits established by Articles 254-257 of the Civil Procedure Code of Ukraine. The ruling was signed on March 28, 2023", - the court's decision says.

The UOC-MP planned to declare the reserve's decision to terminate the contract for the use of Lavra's buildings and structures invalid and extend its stay there.

As previously reported, due to physical obstacles from the UOC-MP, the commission for the transfer of state property of the Lavra was unable to start work.
