State Duma Deputy Andrey Kolesnik proposed to introduce the death penalty for those who left the russian federation and criticize the kremlin for the aggressive war against Ukraine. He said this in an interview with one of the russian media.
"If a person has committed some grave crimes against russia, then the sentences may be different", - the politician stated, making it clear that imprisonment for such "traitors" is not enough.
The journalist of the media outlet asked Kolesnik if he was talking about the death penalty. In response, the parliamentarian expressed the opinion that this exceptional measure of punishment can be used "for treason".
At the same time, the russian deputy is sure that it is possible to execute those who do not agree with the aggressive policy of the kremlin "on the territory where the traitor to the Motherland" is located.
