Kremlin speaker Dmitry Peskov evaded answering the question about the President of the aggressor country pardoning the criminals of the PMC Wagner for participation in the war against Ukraine. This follows from his communication with the russian media journalists.

"Pardon is provided for by law. This is a certain procedure that begins in the places where prisoners are kept and ends with a presidential decree. Any pardon can be carried out in accordance with the law", - Peskov said.

At the same time, he did not answer whether putin signed decrees on pardoning 20 prisoners who were illegally released and took part in the war against Ukraine as part of the PMC Wagner. Owner of this illegal armed group Yevgeny Prigozhin reported that the first group of dangerous criminals was pardoned and all criminal records against murderers, robbers and drug dealers were expunged.
