The russian MFA is outraged that the EU does not issue visas to residents of the occupied regions of Ukraine with fake russian passports. The position of the Foreign Ministry of the aggressor country was voiced by Foreign Ministry Speaker Maria Zakharova, - russian media report on December 21.
The decision of the European Union not to accept passports of supposedly russian citizens living in the regions of Ukraine occupied by the russian federation for the issuance of Schengen visas, adopted on December 14, was officially published today.
The russian MFA stated that this decision of the European Union violated the provisions of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights of 1948.
At the same time, Zakharova did not specify that the world community did not recognize the annexation of the Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia oblasts, and the International Court of Justice in March 2022 found no justification for the start of russian aggression against Ukraine and ordered the kremlin to immediately stop the invasion. The decision of the International Court of Justice is binding, but it is the russian federation that grossly violates all international norms and principles of peaceful existence.
