Details of the counterattack by a unit of the 46th Airborne Assault Brigade of the AFU, which drove the russians out of the eastern outskirts of Bakhmut, appeared in a video posted by military journalist Yurii Butusov on his Facebook on December 19.
"For the first time, the video shows how, by adjusting from a drone and in cooperation with artillery, British Wolfhound armored vehicles boldly drove out into the streets and cleared the russian infantry with fire from 12.7 heavy machine guns. The russians, suppressed by accurate fire, could not organize resistance and disappeared under the supervision of a drone. The outskirts of Bakhmut is ours again thanks to the well-coordinated and skillful actions of the Ukrainian paratroopers. The high-quality communications, command and control, aerial reconnaissance and fire support of the battalion of the 46th Air Assault Brigade, which made it possible to act effectively and smoothly in battle, should be noted", - Butusov commented on the video.
He recalled that the Wolfhound armored vehicles weigh 15 tons, the armament is relatively light - a 12.7 mm machine gun and a 40 mm automatic grenade launcher, the vehicle is tall and not very maneuverable, because it was created for patrol missions in the Middle East, but the Wolfhound is new and reliable in operation.
