The new commander of the Combined Forces of the NATO in Europe US Army general Curtis Scaparrotti is going to find out exactly which weapons Ukraine needs for its defense. He stated that on Wednesday in the city of Mons in the Combine Forces headquarters at the press conference, - reports UNIAN.
"I believe that we must support Ukraine in what they need for a successful defense of the territory and sovereignty. I will particularly look at it as a commander in chief. I have to evaluate what weapon is best, what opportunities they can use, what may be additional for their forces today, "- said Scaparrotti.
During the hearings in the relevant committee of the Senate he said that he hoped to give Ukraine a weapon that "which can be effectively used", in particular anti-tank weapons.
