Ukraine holds the initiative and prepares for victory in Kherson. This is reported by the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).
"Ukraine is holding the initiative and preparing for a big victory in Kherson. A ceasefire would provide the kremlin with the pause it desperately needs to rebuild russian forces. The big Ukrainian victory that continues in the Kherson oblast will not be Ukraine's last", - the message says.
Analysts note that on November 10, Ukrainian forces were steadily advancing in the Kherson oblast, when russian troops retreated to the left bank of the Dnipro.
"Russian forces seem to be pulling back in relatively good order so far, and Ukrainian forces are making the expected progress without defeating russian forces, as they did during the Kharkiv counter-offensive", - ISW writes.
The Institute for the Study of War emphasizes that it will take some time for the russian withdrawal to be completed, and fighting will continue throughout the Kherson oblast as Ukrainian forces advance and collide with prearranged russian defense lines, especially around the city of Kherson.
As previously reported, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky reported that the AFU had liberated 41 settlements in the south.
