Majority of Ukrainians are for termination of economic relations with "the DPR/LPR". It is evidenced by the results of sociological study “The attitude of citizens to the situation in Donbass” held by the Razumkov Center.
The relative majority of the population of Ukraine supports termination of all economic ties between Ukraine and territories of the DPR and LPR (including social security payments, supply of energy resources, coal procurement, etc.) to complete establishment of Ukraine's control over the territories (45.9%) and deprivation of Ukrainian citizenship those citizens of Ukraine who supported Russian aggression against Ukraine, annexation of Crimea, separatist movement in the East and South (45.5%).
It is noted that about one third of respondents does not support these ideas (33.3% and 34.0% respectively). These ideas are supported by the vast majority of those surveyed in the Central and Western regions and are not supported by the absolute or relative majority in other regions.
The study was conducted by the sociological service of the Razumkov Centre in the period from 25th to 30th March 2016. They interviewed 2018 respondents of 18 and older in all regions of Ukraine, except Crimea and the occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions representing the adult population of Ukraine for the main social and demographic indicators. The selection survey was constructed as a multi-stage, random survey with quota selection of respondents in the last stage. The theoretical margin of selection error does not exceed 2.3% with the probability of 0.95.
