Speaker of the ATO headquarters Major Anton Myronovych stated about militant provocations by spreading information about the deaths at the checkpoint in the ATO area. He said that commenting on the situation to OstroV.

According to him, separatist of the so-called "DPR" spread information about the alleged deaths at the Yelenovka checkpoint as a provocation "in order to destabilize the situation."

"We have no information about death of people. They (the militants - OstroV) opened fire with small arms at 2 a.m. in order to provoke our forces to open backfire," - he said adding that the AFU didn’t open backfire on the provocation.

As previously reported, the so-called "DPR" reported deathof four civilians as a result of the night fire at Yelenovka checkpoint.
