The UN mission, which is supposed to find out the facts of the terrorist act in Olenivka, Donetsk oblast, cannot go to the territory of the pre-trial detention center due to the lack of security guarantees. This was announced by representative of the office of the UN Secretary General Stéphane Dujarric during a briefing on October 4.

"We cannot send any mission without ensuring that we have all security guarantees. There are also logistical problems, but first of all, we need security guarantees. Until this happens, we cannot send them", - the official stated.

The representative of the Secretary General refused to specify which side refuses to provide security guarantees to members of the UN mission. Let us note that we are talking about a terrorist attack, which killed more than 50 Ukrainian prisoners of war.

"We need a green light for all locations. Until we don’t have it along the entire way, we cannot send their mission to the site", - Dujarric added.

Let us recall that the UN had created a commission to investigate the terrorist attack in Olenivka at the end of August, and it was supposed to go to Ukraine "in the coming days".
