In the occupied Donetsk region, leader of the "DNR" quasi-formation, Denis Pushilin stated that 23 prisoners of war defending Ukraine from theAzov regiment received the status of arrested and would be brought under the so-called "tribunal". He said this on the air of RosTV.
"Preparations for the first stage of the tribunal are nearing completion. The investigating authorities are working. Now the date of the first Mariupol tribunal depends on them. So far, we can say that the materials on 80 episodes of the crimes of Azov are completely ready. 23 people from among the Azov people were transferred, their status was replaced – now they are already arrested", - the leader of the "DNR" stated.
As previously reported, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the "trial" of Ukrainian prisoners of war in Mariupol would be the red line along which negotiations with russia would be impossible.
