There is a possibility that the occupiers will decide to blow up the Zaporizhzhia NPP. This was announced by Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksiy Danilov on the air of Radio NV.
"It (the station) was seized by armed terrorists, they overtook equipment to that territory… If we now start sorting things out with them there, then the likelihood that they will decide that it is necessary to blow it up, - it exists. That's the problem", - he said.
According to him, with the explosion of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, the accident in Chornobyl will seem to be "flowers".
"God forbid, some kind of nuclear catastrophe happens there, then I can say that what happened in Chornobyl is "flowers" compared to what can happen at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, because this is the largest nuclear power plant in Europe, there are six huge power units there", - the NSDC Secretary said.
As previously reported, the russian federation at the UN Security Council refused to withdraw the military from the territory of the Zaporizhzhia NPP.
