German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has promised Ukraine further arms supplies to counter the russian invasion. He stated this at the NATO summit in Madrid on June 29, - Deutsche Welle writes.
"Allies in the North Atlantic Alliance will continue to supply arms for as long and as intensively as it is necessary for Ukraine to be able to defend itself", - Scholz said.
According to Scholz, in addition to humanitarian and financial assistance, the country will be provided with "weapons that Ukraine desperately needs".
Scholz has previously stated that the only way for putin is to acknowledge his failure in Ukraine. At the same time, just before, Scholz hinted that by November, the situation in the world would change so "drastically" that the leaders of the G20 would sit at the same table with the russian federation.
In addition, it was reported that Germany and the Netherlands agreed to transfer additional PzH 2000 howitzers to Ukraine.
