Speaker of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Volodin stated during a meeting of the parliament on May 17 that "Nazi criminals" should not be exchanged for captured russians. This is reported by BBC.

"These are war criminals and we should do everything to bring them to justice", - Volodin said.

The fighters of the Ukrainian Azov Battalion, who held the defense on the territory of the Azovstal plant in Mariupol for more than two months were called "Nazi criminals" in the Duma.

As reported, on May 16, more than 260 people, including about 50 wounded, left the plant and were taken to the territory of the so-called "DNR".

Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Iryna Vereshchuk promised that the wounded Azov fighters would be exchanged for captured russians after stabilization of their condition.
