Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksiy Danilov has appealed to international partners and NATO with a request to provide combat aviation and air defense weapons. Danilov wrote this on his Facebook.
Danilov resigned himself to the fact that NATO does not want or cannot close the sky over Ukraine, so he asks the AFU to help closing it on their own.
"Right now, at this moment, on this day, we need the most immediate and practical assistance, on the provision of which Ukrainian victory and not the loss of the West depend, this is a matter of protecting the Ukrainian sky - transferring of combat aviation and air defense means. It depends on this whether Russia will kill our children and women, our parents and the elderly. If NATO does not want or cannot close the sky over Ukraine, we will close it ourselves, give us weapons, if your weapons are in cover", - Danilov wrote.
