The Russian Federation states that the Southern and Western military districts have begun returning troops to their places of deployment after the exercises. Official representative of the RF Ministry of Defence Igor Konashenkov told this to journalists.

"Having completed their tasks, the units of the Southern and Western military districts have already begun loading onto rail and road transport, and today they will begin moving to their military garrisons. Separate units will march on their own as part of military columns", - Konashenkov said.

The Western and Southern military districts cover several Russian regions bordering Ukraine, such as the Voronezh, Kursk and Rostov oblasts. As previously reported, according to Commander-in-Chief of the AFU Valerii Zaluzhnyi, the Russian Federation has contracted about 120 thousand servicemen to the Ukrainian border. The Russian authorities state that such a large-scale military activity is nothing more than an exercise conducted on its own territory. Western intelligence, in turn, reports a possible aggression of Russian troops against Ukraine.
