A verdict of guilty was brought in to a resident of Mariupol, who set fire to the State Flag of Ukraine and posted a photo on the social network. This was reported on December 7 by the press service of the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office.
It was proved in court that on August 7, a 17-year-old boy, being in a forest belt of the Kalmiusky district, set fire to the State Flag of Ukraine, filmed the action on a mobile phone camera and posted the photo to one of the social networks.
The Illichivsk District Court of the city of Mariupol found the young man guilty of public desecration of the National Flag of Ukraine (part 1 of Article 338 of the Criminal Code) and sentenced him to one year of imprisonment with one year probation.
