15 579 new cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19 were recorded in Ukraine over the past day. This was reported by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
15 579 people fell ill over the past day, including 1309 children and 282 health workers. 2852 people were hospitalized and 538 – died.
7 776 people recovered on October 18.
118 195 tests were carried over the past day, of which 60 679 – by PCR, 13 814 – by EIA and 43 702 – by rapid antigen tests.
2 660 273 people fell ill for the entire time of the pandemic in Ukraine, 2 337 194 patients recovered and 61 348 people died.
The largest number of confirmed cases over the past day was registered in the Odesa (1418), Kharkiv (1412), Dnipropetrovsk (1203), Zaporizhzhia (1019) and Lviv (959) oblasts.
