At least nine miners were killed because of a broken mine cage cable at the Krasny Partizan mine in Chervonopartyzansk (Dovzhansk district) in the occupied part of the territory of Luhansk oblast. This is reported by the separatist media.

The accident occurred on the evening of September 6. The cable of the mine cage broke off at the moment when there were 25 people in it. The death of nine miners was immediately reported with reference to a source in the "LNR" emergency services. However, there is no exact information. Later, the figures on the number of victims were removed and replaced with phrase "there are victims and injured people".

"The cable of the site, which made lowering of the miners to their workplaces, was cut short. There are casualties and injuries as a result of the accident", - the message said.

The occupiers also reported that they were currently eliminating the consequences of the accident at the mine.

"The miners are being unblocked", - the separatists write.

"The exact information will be known after the liquidation of the emergency", - the message says.

It should be reminded that the Krasny Partizan mine was part of the Sverdlovantratsyt DTEK production association before the Russian occupation.
