Ukraine wants to reach 220 thousand vaccinations against coronavirus per day before the Independence Day. Minister of Health of Ukraine Viktor Liashko said this in the Freedom of Speech program on ICTV, - RBC-Ukraine writes.
So, it is planned to reach 30 vaccinated people per 100 thousand population in each region by the end of June. "To complete 10 million doses by the end of summer, I need to bring the medical system to 111 thousand vaccinations per day. Due to the fact that we have a delay in vaccinations at the beginning of June, we set a target of 160 thousand per day. We are going to reach 30 vaccinated per 100 thousand population in each region by the end of June", - Liashko said.
Thus, Ukraine can reach 420 per 100 thousand doses of vaccines per day in mid-July, and it should be 600 by the Independence Day.
"In raw numbers, this is about 220 thousand vaccinations per day", - the minister added.
Liashko noted that this would be organized if there is no supply disruption.
Minister of Health of Ukraine Viktor Liashko earlier stated that now such an outbreak of coronavirus which was in the spring of 2020 is not predicted. According to him, the medical system failed to cope at that time. Liashko also stated that there are now about 12 thousand mutations of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus. Only four of them are of concern to the Ministry of Health.
