Almost 5 thousand cases of coronavirus disease were recorded in the occupied territories of the Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts. This is reported by the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), - RBC-Ukraine writes.

"According to the latest data, 4888 cases of coronavirus infection have been registered in the non-government-controlled areas, 265 people have died", - the report says.

The UN believes that the situation in CADLO will worsen with the onset of cold weather.

Now about 700 people are hospitalized there a day, the stay of patients in hospitals becomes longer, and the healthcare system will soon cease to cope with the influx of infected people.

As previously reported, 97 cases of coronavirus disease and 12 deaths were detected in the occupied territory of the Donetsk oblast over the day of October 5.
