Two servicemen in the JFO zone were injured in the area of Shumy of the Donetsk oblast this morning, September 15, - the JFO press center reports.
The incident occurred at about 11.40 as a result of the explosion of an RGD-5 type grenade, probably, set in the form of a tripwire.
It is reported that this refers to Colonel O.Appolonov and spokesman of one of the brigades V.Zalevsky.
"Both wounded were taken to a hospital in the city of Toretsk, their condition is stable and satisfactory. Appolonov and Zalevsky were in the area for the purpose of a standard check of the situation", - the JFO reported.
"A full investigation of this event and all its circumstances continues. According to the information we have as of this minute, there is no confirmation that this incident was not accidental", - the military told.
They clarified that all information was brought to the attention of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission in full.
