ATO participant, illegally held in the Russian prison, Nadezhda Savchenko needs urgent medical examination. Lawyer Nikolai Polozov informed about that on Facebook.
"Nadezhda stopped the hunger strike but it has severe complications. Yesterday she vomited the water she tried to drink. Besides, the condition of her exhausted body is getting worse. Her problem with kidney stones is amplified by stress for the body in the form of hunger-striking (especially dry). Fever that hasn’t subsided for a couple of days indicates, at least, a serious inflammation of the internal organs. In other words, now it is needed, at least, to examine Nadezhda Savchenko urgently," – said the lawyer.
According to him, N.Savchenko does not allow Russian doctors to examine her. "As Nadezhda writes, an old Gulag principle "Do not believe, be scared or ask" has become her credo in Russia. At the same time, Ukrainian doctors are still in Rostov-on-Don and have not received permission from the Russian authorities to see and examine Nadezhda. (It seems the Kremlin's resentment, said by Lavrov, to her actions in the court was very deep). Anyways, Nadezhda Savchenko urgently needs, at least, a medical examination to assess the current state of health, identifying potential risks, and proper way to suspend the dry hunger strike," - said N.Polozov.
"I read that the Ukrainian authorities asked Germany to send its doctors to Nadezhda. But when will they come? And this problem needs an urgent solution. Unfortunately, the Russian Ombudsman Pamfilova does not show any activity in Nadezhda’s life at this critical time. All doors in Russia are closed for Nadezhda and Ukraine cannot help the captive objectively and urgently. Lawyers are not doctors and cannot objectively judge the state of her health. In my subjective point of view, the situation is critical. I appeal to all those who are not indifferent to the destiny of Nadezhda to share and spread this statement , to try to bring it to all the politicians, bureaucrats, journalists, to those you can reach and contact, you need to toll the tocsin," - informed lawyer.
