75 490 cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19 were recorded in Ukraine as of August 5. This was reported by Minister of Health Maksym Stepanov at a briefing in Kyiv today, - correspondent of OstroV reports.
"1271 people fell ill over the past day, of which 72 children and 53 health workers", - he stated.
According to him, 24 deaths from COVID-19 were recorded over the past day.
914 patients recovered.
"In total, 75 490 people fell ill during the pandemic, including 5 318 children and 8 918 health workers. 41 527 people recovered and 1788 died", - Maksym Stepanov said.
35 902 tests on COVID-19 were carried over the past day, of which 17 519 - by PCR and 18 383 - by EIA.
According to him, the largest number of cases over the past day was recorded in the Lviv (156), Kharkiv (146), Ivano-Frankivsk (127) and Odessa (93) oblasts, as well as in Kyiv (150).
