President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky was given the name of Ukrainian doctor Yuryi Shapovalov, who was in the dungeons of the militants, but was not included in the exchange lists. This was reported by former prisoner of the "DNR" Stanislav Aseyev on his Facebook, who personally informed the head of state about a potential candidate for the exchange.
"I just found out that 2 days ago Yuriy Shapovalov, with whom we were on the 13th post in the pre-trial detention center, was given in Donetsk 13 years of strict regime for "espionage"… Yuriy was on the lists transferred to the President, but did not get into the exchange", - the Ukrainian patriot wrote.
As previously reported, occupation authorities of the "DNR" had sent a Donetsk physician-neurologist Yuriy Shapovalov to jail for 13 years because of his posts on social networks.
According to the "Ministry of State Security", the blame of the resident of Donetsk was that since 2014 he "started an account on the Twitter social network, posted information that helped to destabilize the socio-political situation in the "republic", as well as collected data on the location of military facilities, the movement of equipment and personnel of the Armed Forces of the DNR".
On April 16, 2020, Yuryi Shapovalov was found guilty by a verdict of the fake "Supreme Court of the DNR" and was sentenced to 13 years in prison with a sentence in a high-security prison.
