The Ministry of Health will offer to continue quarantine in Ukraine until May 12. This was announced by head of the Ministry of Health Maksym Stepanov at a briefing in Kyiv today, - correspondent of OstroV reports.

"The government of the Ministry of Health will make a decision on the continuation of quarantine until May 12 at the next meeting", - he stated.

According to him, the continuation of quarantine is caused by the incidence of COVID-19 in Ukraine.

"At the same time, the Ministry of Health will offer appropriate mitigation of these measures. For example, walks in the parks, but they will be clearly limited by the number of people and personal protective equipment during the walk. There will be clear criteria in this resolution", - he said.

The Minister added that the Ministry of Health would also offer to open museums and libraries.

"We provide for a number of mitigating measures regarding quarantine restrictions, but they will be clearly regulated, how it will be possible to visit one or another institution", - Maksym Stepanov explained.

As previously reported, as of April 21, 6125 cases of COVID-19 coronavirus were confirmed in Ukraine, 161 people died, 367 recovered.

Earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers introduced an emergency situation throughout Ukraine for 30 days and extended quarantine until April 24.
