Quarantine in Ukraine will be continued until early May. This opinion was expressed by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal at the government meeting today, - correspondent of OstroV reports.

"Ukraine cannot stand down for 2-3 months, so the economy will need to be launched. This is an extremely important issue. Therefore, if the dynamics of the decrease in the incidence rate is recorded, we will begin to talk about the possible weakening of quarantine measures only in May", - he reported.

The Prime Minister emphasized that a quarantine regime will be maintained in Ukraine during April.

According to him, quarantine "is likely to continue until early May".

"Subject to positive dynamics, we will launch the economy of Ukraine in May according to a certain plan", - Shmyhal noted.

As previously reported, as of April 8, 1668 cases of COVID-19 coronavirus were confirmed in Ukraine, 52 people died, 35 were cured.

Earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers introduced an emergency situation throughout Ukraine for 30 days and extended quarantine until April 24.
