The Servant of the People party has decided to remove its candidate Victoria Oleksiychuk from the election of deputy of the Verkhovna Rada in constituency No.179 of the Kharkiv oblast. This was reported to LIGA.net by interlocutor in leadership of the SP faction.
"Today, the CEC will consider the question of withdrawing our candidate", - he reported, having declined from giving a reason.
Another interlocutor in the leadership of the faction stated that the candidate from the SP conducted a weak election campaign and would not be able to compete with the favorite - self-nominated candidate former head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration Yulia Svetlichna.
The website of the Central Election Commission indicates that today, on March 3, a meeting of the commission will be held, at which the issue of canceling the registration of candidate for people's deputies, who is running in constituency No.179, will be considered.
The elections in constituency No.179 will be held on March 15 due to the fact that Oleksiy Kucher, who was elected there as deputy of the Rada, was appointed head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration. On February 3, SP nominated Olekseiychuk as candidate in No.179 constituency. A poll of the Rating Group was published on February 26, which showed that Oleksiychuk was losing to Svetlichna.
